Why do I get more compliments from guys then girls?

I get more compliments from guys than girls. Even my friends have this problem, compliments from other guys online and offline about our style, our looks, how we carry ourselves etc but never from women. You’d think if we’re getting admired from other guys then we’d have some luck with the ladies but we don’t lol. Even when I find myself complimenting a girl I’m lucky to get a “hah thanks” It’s flattering I get them from my gender none the less but I’m genuinely just curious why and is it a bad thing?

I get a lot more compliments from women than men. You're probably more around guys than girls. When it comes from people of the same gender, it tends to be genuine. Most women don't give out compliments to men often. They wait for men to compliment them first so that they do not come across as "desperate".

Personally I think it’s because men in general are more easy going and more likely to give away fast compliments , whilst women are generally competitive talkers and will wait to be complimented first.

Women very rarely give other women compliments. Women are generally cold like that.

It could be that girls tend to be wary of complimenting guys because they don't want to give the impression that they're flirting.
