She didn’t like my joke?

I’ve known this girl for 8 months and we’ve been in a situationship for some time now. We were on the phone last night and she told me that we’re just friends. She was still acting possessive about me talking to other women.

During the conversation she made a joke about black people. I didn’t say anything I just laughed. (I’m black).

Then I tell her a joke and say that I heard that Mexican girls know how to get down. I didn’t mean it necessarily as a sex joke but more as a party thing. Anywho.. after that she went silence and hung up the phone 2 minutes later.

Did I say something wrong? Was she offended? What do I say to her from here? I dunno if I really enjoy her company or not. She seems to be distancing herself from me so if she decides to stop talking to me because of that. It is what it is.

I think it goes without saying, but she’s Mexican and mixed with something else.

It kinda sounds like you told her "mexicans know how to fuck" and she took that to mean you're only with her because you want sex and you think because she's mexican she is easy and good at sex. At least, that's how I would've interpreted that.
