Are female narcissists usually extroverted?

Narcissists can definitely be introverted, and are oftentimes more "dangerous" than extroverted narcissists.

They are called covert narcissists, and what makes them more dangerous is that they are much harder to identify. They also tend to be more subtle in their manipulations and undermining of the self-confidence of people around them.

But, by that same token, people who aren't covert narcissists can often be mistaken for them. Which is why it's rough when you're potentially confronted with one.

So what exactly causes a woman to become such a covert narcissist? Or shall I say a very possessive covert narcissist?

That's a tough call.

Someone can be made a narcissist as a child, usually as a result of too much parental adoration. Or, too much extreme parental criticism if the child is actually not doing anything deserving of the criticism, but that's more rare.

In the case of a covert narcissist, my opinion is that it is genetic. Most likely inherited from a parent.

Either way, it's never the narcisssists fault that they are the way they are.

It's not their fault that they are narcissists. That's what I'm saying. They are definitely responsible for their actions, but they didn't choose to be narcissists. It happened to them.

Because of the way they were treated by their parents or genetic inheritance?

Yeah. It's not their fault that their environment or genetics messed them up.

Narcissists are narcissists. Doesn't matter if they're extroverted or introverted.
