How does ex figure in?

Known girl for about a year and we’ve both expressed interest at various times. I found out not long ago she had a boyfriend in the beginning but not anymore. She still flirted with me when they were together. She has never explicitly told me she had a boyfriend and even when she mentions something about him she never refers to him as “him”, it’s always “my friend”. In other words, she has never explicitly stated she had a boyfriend or was even talking to another guy. Recently, there have been a few times when we were in a group and she was completely silent. It wasn’t that she wouldn’t talk to me, she wouldn’t talking to anyone, but as soon as I walked away I heard her start talking to people like normal. It’s only when I’m around that she doesn’t talk to anyone. What does any of this mean?
