I took the bus during my early college years. It sucked. And this is before the homeless and drug problem was at the point it’s at now… so I bet it’s worse now.

But there were a lot of bums on the bus. I ended up carrying a blade with me in case I had to defend myself

Most of the time it's a better option to get where I need to go. Although I'm a right winger, I hate cars with a passion, because they're a constant drain on your finances, and too often a person's worth is determined by what kiand of car they drive.

I actually like taking train/bus when going to uni (it's in another town) and you know like appreciating or sometimes judging people's fits haha and all the little interactions but trains/buses during summer or like long ass rides literally the worst

No. I’m used to the train. I’ve never ridden a bus other than a school bus.

The thing about public transportation is that it varies greatly from country to country.
In a lot of places in the US it's really inconvenient to use public transportation.
Instead of taking the bus more or less directly where you're going you often have to go to the city center and back out again in the US networks.
Instead of going to one of many bus stops within walking distance and waiting 5-15 minutes (depending on how busy the route is) between busses allowing you to essentially travel without planning much there's a long waiting period between each bus.
Instead of a comfortable quiet and smooth experience American busses are often noisy and shaky experiences with insufficient air conditioning.
You can't just lean back and take a nap easily.
And since it's such a bad experience it's mainly poor desperate people using them instead of the average citizen you'll find in European public transportation.
Meaning that you don't necessarily feel safe there.
College towns and major cities are slightly better then this in the us.
But still...
There's a reason why *US* cities have poor public transportation.

As for the trains...
The wagons are often ancient and passenger trains end up having to wait in queue whenever cargo trains passes, and those hardly ever holds a schedule properly, so passenger trains ends up being unreliable and uncomfortable transportation...

But it definitely doesn't have to be like that.
Both modes of transportation can literally be a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Try using these modes of transportation in Europe and see the difference for yourself.

No I love it. I have lived in cities where you need a car and cities where you don't, I prefer cities where you don't, assuming the train and bus are clean!

I took a train to NY city. I think it was good. 4 hours to downtown Manhattan. Probably faster than flying. It seats were comfortable and they had WiFi.

We have a streetcar, i like taking that. I took the bus all the time at our university because the campus was so large, and getting back to where I parked was also a long walk ordeal.

Have to use trains for work, no other logical choice. Don't like using buses, avoid where I can. Would prefer to drive anywhere I need to go

Nope. I can't drive due to my seizures. I use taxis, trains, subways, and buses to get around. I take the train to concerts, work, and medical appointments in addition to other events.

Not really, I actually wish my area had better public transportation, but, outside of major Metro areas, public transportation in the US sucks

No I don't in my country most buses are very efficient it takes less than 3 minutes to take one and they're usually very clean and new
