I see so many women using beauty as a metric for men, why?

It seems to me that women want men to act a certain way without understanding the labor that entails. They expect men to be perfect embodiments of masculinity, while being far from ideal ladies no less. Men always have to be strong. Men always have to take responsibility for women. It basically comes down to objectifying men for their convenience because they're too lazy to even attempt to become a complete human being.
As for beauty standards, consider the following: appearance is a near universal metric of attraction. It signals healthy genes. It's unavoidable.
@GenderEqualityMyth TY for that response. To clarify, I'm not asking about what looks a woman finds attractive in a man, I'm saying that beauty isn't an important metric for male attractiveness. A rich ugly man gets way more women then a broke attractive one.
@Vegasrunner
That's not entirely true. Money isn't everything. There's a strong chance those women aren't truly attracted to those types of men. Meanwhile, I can attest to women being attracted to men regardless of their income. Even bums can get laid if they're good looking enough.
You should look up The Tinder experiment. Good looking men can literally get away with murder around women.
@GenderEqualityMyth unfortunately you're using a female metric. Reality is women are attracted to men for different things than men are attracted to women. You should probably look up the Tinder expriement as they did one where they had a fat obese women and a male model and the women received 40x more matches. Also we are all aware of old or ugly male celebrities that date supermodels. Very rare to have old female celebrities that do the same. Reality doesn't line up w/ your belief.
@Vegasrunner
The fact that you told me to look up the Tinder experiment right after I told you to do the same leads me to believe you didn't even read or understand a single thing I said. Half of you comment doesn't even have anything to do with what I said.
Regardless, it's a fact that both men and women value looks. You're the one running from reality in this case. I know men and women are attracted to different traits, but appearance is a universal standard for attraction. In fact, women these days care about looks far more than ever. The average man doesn't even interest the average woman. They want the best of the best.
@GenderEqualityMyth Different experiments. For starters you never elaborated about yours. Mine validates that women require more than looks to be attracted to a man. Men are able to make up for unattractiveness in other ways. Have you ever heard of Trone Hill, or Sam Cassell? Probably not, because you're looking to make a case based on feeling. If what you were saying was true than why are unattractive rich men, able to get a plethora of woman? Also by your logic that men's that every male celebrity and sports figure is attractive. Why is AL Pacino at 80 + years old able to date 20 yro models?
