I am a barmaid and I have never said "babe" or "love" to any of my customers in my 5-year career. But if this girl is addressing everyone that way, then she's probably not trying to give you a signal.
What if it's very few people like just one or two others and you? I go to bars a lot and plenty call me that but here it's just me and like one other person out of everyone lol.
Maybe that's how she addresses people she sees close to her.
She did it when I first went there and multiple times lol, I've only been there like twice lol. I'm not trying to overthink it lol and of the two times I went she only did it to like one other person after serving a bunch of people. It's always love she calls me I really am not trying to overthink it lol
yeah some people do use it out of habit, but even so…you do have a point I don’t think people use that type of term of endearment to anyone. Maybe the bartender has to feel certain level of comfort to dish out such terms.
Yes it means the same nothing as the other "very few people" she calls it to.
