For the guys, does your girl ever suggest what to wear?

My girlfriend is a fashion designer well she also does graphic design and other things but she has a passion for fashion design. When I go visit her we will get a lot of fabrics and then I'll get custom clothes I'm pretty hyped for it. I don't focus much on my clothes usually because there's so many things in life to take care of fashion has rarely been near the top of the priorities for me but this opportunity is too great to pass up so I hope I'll be stylish af. I will listen to her advice but I'll make my own decisions :). Because I'm autistic it's very important that I'm comfortable in the clothes if it's too tight or the fabric doesn't feel good etc. I won't wear it. But I also wanna try new things and be more daring in this situation so we'll see how it goes :)

I get her opinion on things when we are out shopping, but I tend to pick and choose what I like and she often agrees. My daughter often says, hey dad you'd look good in that. I'll give it a whirl.

I often, pick out things myself though. I have pretty good taste for an old dude and can often make things work.

Yes, his sense of style was dreadful when we met. He used to wear old boot cut jeans and weird shirts/ hoodies with urban slogans on them like it was the early 2000s.

I've started buying him straight cut jeans and fitted shirts, and I've bought him an expensive leather jacket, converse, stylish belts, etc. I help him express his personality more instead of just wearing any old thing. I think this is positive, he's said a few times that he appreciates my insight because he didn't really care for fashion much before.

Single here, I’ve heard that women usually do that to make them look better and keep with hygiene and keeping the place clean. I don’t know why this happends but I think it about her being right and not wanting to be a jerk about small stuff like this..

Women to have a preference what kind of underwear they like to see on us but not as often to as what we like to see on her. I’ve heard most women don’t care.. but the clothes I think want us to look good cuz she wants to be with someone that looks good too..

if I was with a girl I’d be happy with her wearing jeans/t shit and regular panties.

I wear what is comfortable the vast majority of the time. This usually means pajamas and a t-shirt. When we go out... jeans and a t-shirt because she loves that look on me.

If she wants me to dress fancier I'll go ahead and do it for her because it doesn't happen often.

He hardly needs any help or advice when it comes to dressing up since he's usually dapper and/or dashing.

The only time he asks for wardrobe assistance is when he doesn't have a full understanding of the type of event we're attending or where we're going.

At times she will. I wear a suit almost everyday, so she'll get me different ties she likes. Once in a blue moon she'll buy a dress shirt but I usually get the pants and coat I like to wear. More importantly, I haven't bought a bottle of cologne in almost 25 years!

Maybe one day, but neither of us has the money for a wardrobe makeover as we’re both in graduate school. Overall, I tend to refrain from suggesting any type of change…he’s a grown man and not my husband, so I don’t feel like it would be well-received.

I try to think of how I would receive it if roles were reversed.
