Yes, my feet do smell sometimes, but definitely not on a regular basis. As another user mentioned, I also shower daily and scrub my feet with soap and warm water, even drying them thoroughly after exiting the shower, and wear clean socks and shoes before I begin my day, but even proper hygiene doesn't always prevent the smell in certain situations. I engage in activities that are more likely to make my feet smell, such as my daily fitness runs, which consist of jogging, sprinting, and dashing for at least two hours on an outdoor track. My routine mainly consists of 30 minutes of jogging, 15 minutes of sprinting, 30 minutes of dashing, and 15 minutes of rest in between the three. Such constant running, especially during the hot summer weather with temperatures close to 90 degrees and higher, results in my feet sweating much more intensely, which often results in them smelling quite bad.

However, I rarely, if ever, have this problem after running during the other seasons. In fact, the worst foot odor that I experienced was as recent as last month. I began my run as normal on an extremely hot day of about 96 degrees Fahrenheit, but as I ran, the sky became cloudy, and rain eventually poured down in buckets. Still, I didn't allow the rain to deter me, as I was determined to finish my routine. However, because I wear machine-washable Puma running shoes, rainwater got into my shoes and soaked my feet. Despite that, I still completed my two-hour routine. After I finished running and returned home, I removed my shoes, and the smell was absolutely devastating. I couldn't believe it. Mind you, I showered, dried my feet off, and wore clean socks and running shoes that day, so it was definitely not a poor hygiene issue.

I don't know how to describe the funk in any other way than a mixture of extremely cheesy and vinegary, and it engulfed my entire bedroom, much to my surprise. In my entire life, even after running, my feet had never smelt that strong before that day. I had to immediately shower and put my running shoes and socks in the washer. Other than when running in the summer, though, honestly, my feet almost never smell. Going about my day normally doesn't produce any odors. For example, if I took a shower in the morning and worked my usual 12-hour shift or had a long night out with my friends or family, my feet wouldn't smell. Running in the summer just so happens to be the main thing, if not the only thing, that causes it.
