Women certainly do not have it easier.
I think there are challenges that are unique to each sex (and will vary depending on age, ethnicity, sexuality and other factors).
As a guy, you are constantly told that you need to be high achieving and successful, mentally and physically strong, and are conditioned to handle adversity without support. It can be a very isolating experience. Many men have no friends at all. Dating consists of constant rejection and it's very easy to come across as creepy unless you're very good looking. And physical violence is much more of a serious threat, statistically speaking.
That said, there are plenty of guys who are super creepy and much of this behavior is enforced by other men or just live in people's heads. Not to mention the fact that physical violence is pretty much always inflicted by other men and often ensues when people fail to de-escalate situations.
As a woman, you are way more likely to be sexually harrassed or abused in general and way more likely to be mentally or sexually abused by a partner. Women also may be underestimated and overlooked in all aspects of life due to sexist stereotypes and there is an earnings gap, largely driven by the disproportionate impact having a child has on women's careers (where men are allowed to thrive). Women are becoming high achievers in the workplace (and dominating university studies) but still end up taking on more domestic work at home.
So, I can imagine a man who is struggling to get attention from the opposite sex and have a poor social life and think that women have it easy.
But it's just a different experience with different challenges.
Women typically find life more difficult once they hit 30+ years old. Funny enough thats when most men find life getting a bit easier.
