Overall, the average woman is stronger than 2.5% of men, and the average man is stronger than 97.5% of women. Got this from several sites.

There are always outliers, however. Some women are mesomorphs, more heavily muscled than average, and if they pair with an ectomorph male, less muscled than the average, the same height and weight woman has a chance of being stronger.

In upper body strength, the average women is 52% as strong as the average man. That man can lift twice the weight she can. In lower body strength, however, the average woman can lift 2/3 of the weight (66%) the average man can. So, the man can squat 100 lbs, while the woman squats 66 lbs. Not bad, actually.

But if the man's doing shoulder presses of 104 lbs, however, the woman can only lift 56 -- that 52%. All you have to do is look at sexually mature male physiques to see that "shoulder spread" men have in their upper bodies related to testosterone, to understand where the upper body advantage come from.

Women have to carry babies, so their lower body strength has to be fairly impressive to tote them around during development. So there's the biological difference!

It's very rare, men have more muscles so the woman would have to be really strong and the guy really weak

Statistically, the average woman is stronger than 2.5% of men, and the average man is stronger than 97.5% of women. And on average, a male's upper body has 75% more muscle mass and 90% more strength than a female's

So yeah, it's very rare to find a woman who's stronger than a guy.

Guys not only have more muscle mass, but our muscles are generally faster and have a higher maximum output compared to females. So even if a man and woman both had exactly the same build with the same percentage of muscle etc, the man would still be stronger.

Same post-puberty age and weigh group, extremely rare. The average guy in that situation is approximately 40% stronger than an average woman, which is one major reason for banning men from women's sports. It would be like letting a heavy weight boxer fight for the middleweight crown.

And yes, there are exceptions, and there are lots of female athletes who can easily waste untrained guys, but even there at the extremes the trained men are stronger.

Yes on an average 99% men are stronger than 99% women  Women would have to workout a lot to be stronger than an average man who never lifts
