A simp is typically a guy who will spineless do anything for a girl he likes in a desperate attempt to win her affection even though she has a guy already and isn't interested. Usually a simp will defend her from any imagined slight or insult. I've had to deal with quite a few simps they are creepy.

A pick-me girl as far as I understand is a girl who because she wants a particular guy or type of guy will completely change her personality, interests, hobbies and beliefs to fit with the guy or guys she craves validation from. So if the guys are into skateboarding she will be a skatergirl, if the guys are into computer games she will become a gamergirl, if the guys are into rock she will become a rockchick, if its political activism she will become protestor girl, if its guns she will become a gun girl. We see that on social media it laps up a girl doing anything a guy likes as if it's major with titles such as 15 year old girl shreds on electric guitar.

I never really understood the concept behind what a simp is to be honest.
Supporting someone isn't a negative thing generally. The intention behind supporting can be though. For me its less about what you support, because you can have the same (stupid) opinion as the one you support, but if on the other hand you dont actually support someone and only do the supporting for your own sake than that can be a problem.
