My Neighbor Followed me?

Okay so the other night I went for a walk through my neighborhood and as I walked past one of my neighbors house, she got into her car and I continued to walk to the end of the road when she backed out of her driveway and started driving behind me really slow then she stops to where I’m at and asks if she can help me? and I tell her I am just talking a walk so then she proceeds that she didn’t know because I was wearing all black which I wear black more than any other color. There is other people who walk down the road and I feel she is only harassing me I mean she followed me with her car then started questioning me for nothing. Now I don’t know if she is going to call the cops for me walking past her house or what, I am really paranoid.

Tthat is super weird and creepy that your neighbor followed you like that! I would be paranoid too in your situation. A few things though:

- Try not to let it get to you too much. Some people are just nosy and looking for drama. Don't give her the satisfaction of knowing she made you paranoid.

- Be friendly but direct if you see her again. Something like "Hey, just going for my usual walk, no worries!" and keep it moving. Don't engage if she tries starting anything.

- If she does call the cops for no reason, be polite but firm that you're allowed to walk in your own neighborhood. Cops probably won't do anything anyway since you didn't do anything wrong.

- If it keeps happening, you may want to document the incidents (date/time) in case you need to get others involved. But hopefully was just a one-off weirdo moment.

- Check local ordinances - in some places you can actually file harassment complaints against neighbors if their behavior crosses a line. But hopefully won't come to that!

Try not to worry too much. Just keep doing your thing, but be aware in case she escalates. Most likely she'll find someone else to bother soon enough. Let me know if any other issues come up!

I had that happen to me, I was down at my local store and was getting some chips and pop there were two girls about age 13/14, and I was age 17/18 and walking home they would laugh at me and giggled so just watch there are all kinds of creeps out there but just be careful with that neighbor.
