Ok, so background: In my high school English class, I am assigned to sit by this girl. We don't know each other. Sometimes her feet bump into mine because sometimes I stretch them out under the table, but she usually just pulls them back. However, a couple days ago, our feet bumped again and she pulled back at first but put her foot right next to mine so our shoes were touching at about the toes I think. I was just curious if this means anything or I'm just like way too eager. Sometimes I can see her look up at me out of my peripheral vision, but she could also be glancing at something or someone near me. There is one other person at my table, but the three of us aren't very talkative so I can't say I've talked to this girl more than like twice. Can someone tell what's going on if there is anything? Am I just too eager?
Nah man, I wouldn't read too much into it. In class people don't always have room under the table. Maybe her foot fell asleep or something, you know how it is. And people glance around all the time, doesn't mean anything. I wouldn't stress so much yet. If she keeps leaving her foot right against yours though after pulling it back, then maybe she's trying to feel you out too, see how you react. Could be a good sign. But you said you barely talk, so she might just think you're shy or not interested too. Next time your feet bump, see if she smiles or moves away quick. If she smiles, that's a good sign. Or you could smile and say like "sorry, not much room under here" and see how she responds. Just play it cool for now.
Subtle signs can mean a lot in high school lol. If she keeps it up try talking to her more after class. Maybe she wants you to make a move. Good luck!

Haha that’s cute, she is subtly flirting and playing it safe because she is shy. You can test it out by putting your feet next to hers and see if she lets her stay next to yours. And looked at her with a smile to see her reaction once you do that, and when you feel like she’s looking at you, try looking at her to capture eye contact flirting.

WAY too eager.
Like touching, holding hands.
Never heard that term before.
