Why does this lady in the grocery store always think I’m stealing and follow me through the store?

If so the store might be owned/managed by racists. I would suggest if possible shop at a store where black/brown people are welcomed

Yeah but hate doesn’t mean you suspect someone of stealing

I can’t exactly say from experience what it’s like to be targeted like you’ve been, I’m white and it just doesn’t happen. However I have heard some vitriol about Asians and especially Asian women that wouldn’t likely be spoken outside the presence of other white people. There are those that will look for any excuse to accuse you of something, such as stealing because they hate that you’re in their community and country. I really hope you can find a better place to shop that welcomes you. I honestly think you should avoid that place.
