Is there a difference between a girl giving you their instagram vs number? Like I feel instagram is more friendly or even just to get followers while number is more personal and a bigger indicator of interest.

Yeah, I agree. When I make new acquaintances, we usually swamp instagram handles first, phone numbers are reserved for people who I know and trust or want to stay in touch with. On the other hand, maybe that girl doesn't have an instagram.

Social media is meaningless. A number is personal. To this day, maybe 10 people at the most have my phone number.
