To answer "would I like it on a woman" depends on how she looks with the cut, to me. I've seen women who can rock a buzz cut and those who can't. I've seen women with gorgeous long hair and thought it was the only thing attractive about them.
It depends on your look overall. I can say I prefer girls with longer hair, but that does not answer your question. Any hair style can also be based on your overall look. Some girls look better with short hair than others. The same can be said for long hair.
