I forgot to ad...

Of all the things I would hate to have happen to me, having someone else cut my finger and toenails and paint them would be right there near the top of the list.

It would be higher up on the list than getting pins stuck in my eyeballs! Can't understand it! 😨

I despise getting my hair cute, and "strangers" hands on me

I still get my hair cut by a professional... and I do pay her ride plus the job, so she can come back to town and do it for me... as she has done it since I was early 20's, lol

even took her to dinner a couple of times too, lol

I think they like being pampered. I believe they also give you a massage, which sounds nice, especially a foot massage when you have plantar fasciitis like I do!

Yes, it's a little bit of pampering. I don't get acryllic nail sets or put nail polish on my nails, but a good manicure gets cuticles and nails in shape better than I can do them myself. Pedicures not only keep the cuticles and nails cut and shaped, they remove callouses and finish with lotion, foot massage and a hot towel. I see quite a few men in nail salons these days, so it's not just a women's only thing.

It just uplifts my mood. Is two hours of my day that I have just for myself without my phone or other distractions.

I can sort of understand that because women have the day-to-day responsibility for the kids and the housework. I can see how it would be a useful escape although, for me I'd prefer just about any other activity for that purpose!
