Like a bad movie?

This was me today. I don’t understand. I’ve been talking to this girl for about two months. Everything seem legit. We had a lot I mean a lot in common. I actually started to think she was the one.
anyways she gave me her itinerary flight info as I was picking her up at the airport. Last we talked she said good night and was excited to see me.
I waited at her gate for 45 min then I left. My question is why? . I left out that she travels as a nurse and was/is going to be here in my city for 8 weeks. I did the research on the apartments I was taking her to the hospital everything checked out. Just vanished. There is no room for scam here. I didn’t give her any sensitive information on me and the girl has her own money. Her dad left her property and a means to secure her own financial future. Heck she was already buying me stuff. I just don’t know but I give up ever finding anyone. Just curious to hear others ideas.

You sure nothing happened? No flight delay? Or heaven forbid a car accident? She knew you were coming to the airport right? I was 2 hours late for a date/meetup but we communicated the entire time so we knew what was happening. I get that may be harder to do on a flight but some flights like Delta have emergency wifi/texting

I mean the flight landed on time. She left at 6:35 her time 3 hour difference so only 3 am my time. By the time I got up she would have been on the flight.
