Can you tell if a movie is going to be terrible?

Before a movie hits theaters, can you tell if it's going to be terrible? Not just if you won't like it, but if it will flop. What are the signs? How often are you correct?

Yup! Most definitely.

There are many parameters for that. Some of them are CGI, the jokes, the direction, the script, the acting, the story, etc.

A trailer gives away all of them, if you look closely enough.

Thor Love and Thunder was going to be a mega flop rating wise. I don't know and care about the money as it is Marvel.

I usually assume that if it's a Marvel movie these days, it'll be trash.

That is easy. If it is a recent American made movie there is more than a 90% probably it will be terrible. Almost all modern American movies are full of unrealistic political correctness. Lots of Older American movies are excellent but I have no interest in watching unrealistic political correctness and other propaganda. Instead I watch Korean and other Asian movies and dramas.

Not really, I've had some movies with great reviews that I think sucked badly and I hated, and others that had bad reviews that I loved the movie.

I don't watch much TV or movies though, hardly ever.

I typically ignore the Critic reviews. I mean how many movies have you seen which the critics hated but the audience loved? And with rampant progressiveness infiltrating the critics they are even less reliable. I have seen moves the critics LOVED and ended up being so terrible. But the audience scores almost always mirror my own opinions.

Nah being a film critic, i try to give most films a chance unless its with an actor/actress i just can't stand

Of those in the pic, I kind of liked Alita, but I'm a Sci-Fi geek so that is to be expected. The rest in the pic were not good.

I think I can often tell if it will be in my opinion, but my opinion doesn’t always match the box office.
