A girl I know gave me a strange look when she saw me. Why is that?

I haven't seen her a few years. Last time was in high school. We didn't date or anything; however she once gave me her phone number. I told her that I wouldn't be able to contact her cause I didn't have a phone like everybody else. Even if I did, I wouldn't be able to talk to her often cause of limited units. Sometimes I feel like I rejected her and didn't realize it because I could've worked something out.

One thing I like to add is that I look different compared to my high school days. I didn't have any facial hair at the time. It made me look baby face. Now I have a beard. As long as I keep it trimmed, it gives me an Abe Lincoln look. I'm thinking that maybe she was just surprised to see me with a beard. But it could be other things.

Strange looks can be caused by any number of reasons.. She could have been trying to work out where she knew you from.

It's usually a bit of a surprise to see someone you haven't seen in a while -- we're older, probably have different styles from back in our school days, etc.

It was probably no look at all. Men love to invent scenarios in their brains.

Sounds like she was struggling to recognize you. People's appearance does change.
