Why would she look around the room when someone said goodbye to me?

My friend said goodbye to me and said my name as I was a few metres away and I noticed this girl slightly look around the room to see where I was before we made eye contact. Why would she Look to see where I was? I already hugged her and said goodbye earlier but at that time I wasn’t leaving right away I said to her I probably will still be around as she went off to do something quick.
I think she’s attractive and I might like her a little but wondering why she would look around as someone said my name?

My guess is she looked around cause she was interested to see where you were when she heard your name. Lots of girls won't do that unless they already like a guy a little bit.

Maybe she wanted to look at you one more time before you left, or was hoping to say a quick bye again? Girls usually don't pay that much attention to who's around unless they think a guy is cute.

I'd say you've got a good chance man! The fact she made eye contact with you too, she was definitely looking FOR you. Next time you see her, try smiling and casually bringing up something you talked about before to see how she reacts.

Hey thanks for the positive feedback! I did think it was unusual why she would look around for me and I thought it was interesting thinking maybe she does like me a little as much as I like her. It’s just a bit confusing because when I first met her we had a really good conversation and then the next time we were hanging out in a group this other girl was hitting on me, and I think she saw that so she was flirting with this other guy and I thought oh maybe she isn’t interested in me. But now when we hugged goodbye it felt like a really nice hug and I think she might’ve felt that as well. And then now when she was looking around for me, makes feel a bit more confident and that maybe she was just flirting with that other guy to make me jealous or something. Next time I see her though I will definitely will make a move and ask her out. Even if she says no at least I know how she feels.

Ahhh ya dude I feel ya, that whole situation sounds kinda confusing for sure. Girls can definitely play games like flirting with other guys to try and make someone jealous, so maybe that's what was up when she did that before. But it definitely seems like from the nice hug and now looking around for you when your name was said that she's feeling you too!

Guys will always be hitting on her probably so I wouldn't read too much into that other dude. And the fact that she seemed to really be paying attention to where you were even after you both left each other is a good sign bro. When you see her next you've totally got to make a move.
