I have been on the receiving end of that to some extent, not as extreme as that cartoon but the "Ill show you the worst of me to see if you stay" before allowing herself to fall deeper in love with me. The funny part is that its so transparent I can tell when someone is doing that so its a tell for me that someone likes me. But I do respond honestly despite knowing I am being tested. Responding honestly to it worked wonders so far and then I naturally end up doing what she is hoping if we are properly compatible with each other.

But asker, since you posted this meme I take it that you do this to a higher degree? What happens if the guy stays after your attempts to scare him?

Not a higher degree, I just don’t play the game of small talk and I’m just myself early on with no filter. Like how people would expect to act in 3 months of dating, I act that way within day 3. I just don’t want to wait until I’m like 3 months in and then they see that part and they decide they don’t like me, so I rather they leave before so I don’t get hurt

Thats the kind of stuff I am attracted to, if she is herself and she aligns with me thats the easiest way to make me fall in love and commit for life. If she can't align with me or isn't herself she probably will never find out how to do it.

I'm the exact same way, I am myself up front and if she finds it special then she's in for a fun surprise that unlike all the guys she dated prior I didn't change.
