Is it gross to go barefoot a lot?

I love to go barefoot but some of my friend are grossed. Why that?

No it's not. If anything, I'm more attracted to girls who are comfortable being barefoot often. When I went to a specific rural area in BC, there were tons of people walking barefoot around there... even going into shops and restaurants barefoot. It was hippie culture there and I honestly loved it. Everyone was warm and fun. They were also generally more fit in that area than where I live (Ontario). I associate it with being more in tune with nature and not being a princess that gets uncomfortable very easily.

I would say the only times where it's not attractive to be barefoot are in dirty city areas. Because then it's just unhygienic. You could be walking where people have spat or taken a piss, stepping on gum and trash. For example, if I'm walking downtown Toronto or New York time's square and I see someone walking barefoot, I'd question their sanity. But if I'm walking in a nice park and someone's barefoot on the grass, I see absolutely nothing wrong, and I would probably be more attracted to someone that's comfortable being barefoot like that in natural environments.

Again though... in the specific part of BC I was in, people were walking everywhere barefoot, but I liked it and didn't question their sanity because it was clean and it was a rural environment. Although the bottom of their feet were dark as hell from the dirt lol.

Yes to me that’s gross. Well actually it depends on where. If you’re inside, staying in all day then I don’t see an issue w it. But I have seen a number of people, especially white people out on the streets walking around barefoot. Public restrooms are the worst place I’ve seen people go barefoot. That to me is unhygienic. A lot of times too women tend to put their feet up on the dashboard of the car or on the car seat, maybe even on the window frame or out the window when it’s open. That I have an issue w. I don’t see an issue w it if you’re at the beach, but I wouldn’t go into those public restrooms barefoot.

Usually, it's  gross for a society wearing shoes , it's  not gross for a barefoot society . High chances you're living in a shoes society, so yes, the norm defines grossness, you are out of norms, you're seen as gross.  Simple as that.

I grew up in Southern California where i spent most my days walking bare foot to any place or at anyplace i could swim. I had a thick hard crust that occurred from adaptation to the heat. It remained years after moving to Washington state until it softened and adapted to the wet weather.

I heard this is a thing down in Australia. Maybe they don't have shoes down there.  But yes, it is kind of gross because you can step on lord knows what and get an infection.

Ehh…yes. But- feet soles are able to “thicken” or toughen to become natural shoes. BUT: you will not enter my house unless you strap on fucking biohazard foot covers.
Can’t imagine what shit is on your soles from the city streets.

Not at all, until I got edema a few years ago, I want barefoot most of my life. Most often, I only wore shoes if I had to.

Well your feet can get dirty or scraped up and might smell. Also if you don’t take care of your feet like keeping them clean or not having a pedicure they might look unattractive.

For me, it mainly depends on the sex and age of that shoeless person. The last time I went barefoot, I was just a kid. Except under very controlled conditions, I would never want to do that due to discomfort or even being hazardous to do so
