Tonight I went out to eat with my parents. When we walked in the restaurant, the hostess gave me quick eye contact then looked away for a second before making eye contact again. The second time I got a smile from her. I’ve never had that happen before.

Girls will give you the eyes if they are interested aka looking at you then away and then back at you.

That she smiled was a good sign but given that she is a hostess she could have simply smiled bec she saw a customer had eye contact with her. Given that you didn't recieve any "signals" afterwards I would say that was the case
