Why did she do this?

I was at work on a ferry ( wasn't wearing any make up) and a woman came up to me and looked me up and down and was alittle bit rude. Even kind of argued with me. Why do women look at other woman up and down?

Ugh, I hate when girls do that! Sometimes other women can be so catty and judgmental for no reason. A few thoughts on why she may have acted that way:

- She was probably in a bad mood or going through her own stuff, so took it out on you to make herself feel better. Don't take it personally!

-Could be she was checking you out and wasn't into your look that day. But who does she think she is deciding who's worthy?

-Some girls feel threatened by other females naturally and put them down to assert dominance. So immature.

-Maybe she was just bored on the ferry and wanted drama. Sad life she must lead!

-Internalized misogyny is real - she may have picked up rude behaviors from sexist environments that make women compete.

Try not to stress it sis. You looked great with or without makeup! She clearly has her own issues. We gotta build each other up, not tear down. Next time some rude girl bothers you, just smile and hold your head high! You're fabulous just as you are.

Honestly, some women just be out here acting weird, man. It’s like they see another woman and instantly feel the need to size them up, you know? Sometimes it’s jealousy, sometimes it’s insecurity, or maybe they just woke up on the wrong side of the bed.


That lady probably had some stuff going on in her head and took it out on you. It’s not about you at all, she’s just projecting her own issues. Just shake it off.
