What age can girls wear start wearing bikinis? What about thongs and cheekier bikinis?

What age can a girl start wearing bikinis and other swimsuits which show the legs? Should she wear just shorts before that? When should girls start wearing thongs and cheekier bikinis which show the butt?

I'm thinking about 16 and up. Before then and you may be sending out mixed messages as in the look says, I'm sexually available. The law doesn't agree with that until your 28- I think in most states but that seems pretty old for not having lost your cherry.

Two piece suits are fine for fir young girls, bikinis after they turn 16, thongs when they live on their own.

Whenever they are ready to. I started wearing bikinis when I was like 12-13. I wore cheekier ones when I was like 16

I started wearing bikinis when I was 5 or 6 years ago. I didn't start with thongs until my early teens, though.

I’d say early to mid teens is fine. I’d say no younger. I’m dreading the day my daughter goes to Walmart and brings home a bikini 👙. I know boys will like it but I’ll be scared as hell 😂😂

@Notherndude84 what you do is tease her about it. Maybe be like "you sure that's small enough?" Not in a judgmental way, but to be silly. Like, it lets her know you'll support her choices, but helps relieve the awkwardness by getting it out there.

I don’t always see a woman’s body in a sexual way. If my daughter wants to wear a bikini I will take her to Walmart and get her one. I want her to have a positive body image and feel good about herself. I think it would be wrong to control her through fear and shame.

Regular bikini bottoms - any age. They're helpful for ease of changing in and out of. Scantier bottoms are still considered "sexy", so I'd say when she's in her teens, if she wants to make that choice.
