Long story short, reconnected with my friend from high school that I genuinely enjoyed being around and laughing with. She knows I last dated another girl and am bisexual, but obviously doesn’t care.. she has a young kid now and still single but she’s changed so much, she’s very grounded and warm from having a big lifestyle change.. she suggested that I come over to her house to work from home with her sometime so I followed up yesterday and she replied with “omg yes” “I always want your company ____”, and then even saying “what time are you free miss?”(she’s only a like a year and a half older than me). Do you think it hints at something deeper? She has been so sweet to check in on me to make sure I got home safely last time and expressed that she was so happy she got to see me and that we should hangout more. I know I’m overthinking it but can’t get it out of my mind 😅

You’re very sweet! Just an update if you would like to hear :) we were talking about possibly hanging out when I work from home either today or Thursday, when she texted last she asked me what time I was free on Tuesday.

So I just followed up with her this morning, and she texted me back saying “Marie, my friend”, and that she has a hair appointment at 2. And she said I could join her at the salon if I want 🤣🤣🤣🤣or we could try for Thursday.”
I told her it was ok with a few laughing emojis so she knows I’m not upset or anything, but trying for Thursday was fine..

Lol isn’t starting off her text with “Marie, my friend” is SUPER platonic and friendly? Like as if she really wants to let me know she just sees me as a friend.. I’m a little bummed but I know I could be reading too much into it.

Thank you! You are so sweet for the supportive words. So on Tuesday when I contacted her, she started the convo with Marie, my friend. I think possibly because her appointment was at 2, but she did offer for me to go with her to the salon. Which I just said no it’s ok lol, I felt like it was an excuse but I feel bad now because I looked on her Venmo and she did get her hair done around the time she said, and paid the hairstylist on there. So I’m happy she was being honest and didn’t make it up lol. Part of me wants to think she wanted to get her hair done before we hung out 😂. But who knows, I was too in my feelings on Thursday and was waiting for her to text, so neither of us texted and now I have to think of another way to reach out lol..
