Why does this girl keep staring at me but still ghosts me?

We used to talk like everyday, but now she won't give me more than a "I don't know" or "ok" when texting. I feel like I did something wrong - her friends stare and sometimes laugh when I walk by or also in class. I can't understand them because they speak Spanish aswell. I don't think I did anything wrong though, so are there any other reasons?

Well there are certainly other things that could be the issue. Since I can't read minds you need to look back to the point where she no longer was talking to you and really think if there was something that happened that could have triggered that. It is hard to see ourselves sometimes so really examine everything surrounding her changing her habits towards you. I can sit here and try to make guesses but that is all it would be. My guess is that there is something that transpired and you just didn't catch it. It is also completely possible that someone close to her said something or learned something about you and is influencing her. If that is the case then you aren't going to be able to find out what happened most likely. Really all you can do is chalk it up to a loss and move on. It doesn't seem like she has interest in talking to you unfortunately.

I can't say for sure but I am not so sure she likes you or maybe her friends do not approve of you and are mocking you when you walk by. Either way you may wanna stop giving her attention for no reason.

Perhaps the topics you've been discussing aren't interesting to her anymore, or she feels like the conversation is one-sided, plus you are another one that thinks texting is somehow still real communication when it is not even close.
