Why are women so selfish and never see the bigger picture of things?

Like if you give a woman security and pay for things for the house and take care of her. She says you don't buy her gifts all the time so you don't get her anything or do anything for her? Like we split the rent but then I pay all the food , all the house whole needs. I clean the house by myself, I cook and if she needs anything I get it for her, but then she says I do nothing and complains because I was 5 short on something and she didn't want to help me so she threw a fit and said figure it out, yet she has more than enough, even when I said I would give it back to her in like an hour I just had to wait for something but she didn't care. Why is that? Sorry about the rant
