I don't think it serves any purpose in the US today other than giving feminists a reason to complain and play victims. But it's important in places like the Middle East and some African nations where women are actually oppressed and discriminated against.
Sure you must struggle in the countries in which women are oppressed but I don't like taking it so seriously. I just like making a woman smile by giving her a flower 🌹 as a female would you like it if a man tells you 'happy women's day' and gives you a rose.
