Do women notice if guys don’t wear underwear?

I’ve always noticed on my body the difference between the look if I’m wearing underwear versus not but have always wondered if anyone else can or if I’m just paranoid

If I'm in athletic shorts my wife can tell and will comment on it (playfully) but anything more than that she doesn't notice. But to be fair I rarely go commando in anything other than jogging shorts, and only around the house.

How else would you be able to know if you were about to become someones victim? Aren't women wholly paranoid as they go around that every guy is a threat and predator?
