Does anyone else find the usage of the word “baddie” to be stupid?

I just don’t get the existence of this term. Why not just say she’s “hot”, or she’s “sexy?” “Baddie” just makes me instantly cringe

I think baddie can mean more then just looks though,

Urban dictionary also mentions confidence and self respect.

How you look may affect how you are treated and your confidence.
There can be a correlation between looks and confidence,
but it's not the same thing.

A person can look good and still have insecurities.
Or a person can be self confident even if they are not the best looking.

Baddie is more of a slang term rather then a correct term in formal situations.

But it still seems baddie can mean more then just "hot".

I don't mind it.

Baddie, Woke, Cringe, and “I’m dead” I wish all those words get out of people’s mouths.
So annoying.

A friend of mine was talking to a group of women about 9 months ago. I was sitting about 30 feet away minding my own business and infrequently chatting with a woman next to me.. Two of them knew my friend came in with me. They started firing questions at him about me nonstop so he says. Who is he, and so on. At some point my friend tells them... "oh he's sort of a badass". I found this out later.

Anyway that's my cringe word. So he tells them I'm a badass and a little about my background and they go from a disturbing level of interest to ridiculous with their questions about me. They were counting the number of times the woman I was talking to touched me. Noting how she looked at me, flirted, etc. I knew none of this until later.

Badass? Really? Like my butt is broken? Doesn't work? What does that even mean? Well it apparently triggered these women. They built themselves into a frenzy and I hadn't spoken to them or even looked in their direction.

My friend got a good talking to after that. No more comments like that about me.
