Question for OTHER GUYS: how did she switch up on you?

I think we've all been there before, you liked a girl and she seemed to really be into you as well, and then suddenly she changed up on you. What is your experience/experiences? One of mine was once a girl who was falling all over herself for me and other people said they noticed it too, and then later she started acting mild and every time she talked to me it sounded more like one of your co-worker trying to be professional or something lol. Then of course I found out she was sleeping with someone and that explained the switch-up.

So what are you guys' stories?

You need to remember that women says “I like you” or worse “I love you” she is only expressing the emotions she has for you in that exact moment only.

Men on the other hand know usually say “I like you” or especially “I love you” as pledge of loyalty. It’s something we usually think hard about before saying. And even if we lose interest in the woman later many of us will remember our earlier words. Hence we feel more guilty about changing it up. Not all men but most men. I fully acknowledge there are scumbags out her who lie through their teeth to women just to get laid.

Anyway women are biologicaly programmed to have less guilt / regret when it comes to rejecting men. This was necessary in a time they had to picky for survival reasons. It’s unnecessary (and cruel / selfish) in modern times. But they just haven’t evolved out of it.

Yep I am the same way, I'm very careful not to throw "I love you" out there so quickly, because I need to really get to know you and be sure I love you beyond just cutesy feelings.

I was off in college. We were holding off on PIV until (close to) marriage. She wanted marriage and babies NOW. A customer/guy flirted with her when she was a teller at the bank and she switched, unknown to me. A friend told me and I broke up with her on our last (non intimate) date. Later I did the math and figured she was pregnant one month on our last date.

The most recent went from being sweet, caring and affectionate to straight up psychotic. She just couldn't figure out that my boundaries were non negotiable. It's a shame too, she almost had it.
