Mostly it's because you look like you take yourself seriously and with care which women like.
But it can mean that as it's a sign of wealth too.

Like other's have said, it's attractive that you actually care and have pride about your appearance, especially nowadays. If you watch old television shows, there was a time that normal attire for a lot of men was a tie and dress pants, sometimes even a suit jacket. It was a way of showing you were a gentleman and yes, to some extent show they had some social status. People would even dress up for sporting events. Even women would wear dresses and a hat almost everyday.

No, it just means you look sharp and take care of yourself and care about how you look especially in. professional setting. Just the fact that you take yourself seriously is attractive.

I think suits suit the male form quite well. It is derived from military uniforms so if a good suit and a good body it does convey power.
