Will a guy still like a girl if she cuts herself or has scars?

A person with scars, regardless of the gender, indicates that this is a person with a number of psychological problems, whether they are present or past. This represents also a potential danger to be in a relationship with such a person as it is usually not possible to know whether these issues have been resolved or are still ongoing.

Besides being aesthetically unappealing, the question is whether this person has overcome the psychological problems or not.

Whether men like a girl with scars or not depends on that person and whether he sees them as unimportant or not. I personally would not like to know that my girlfriend has had such issues in the past that she needed to do self-harm.

typically that's a red flag, cause why would you actively choose to go with a partner who quite obviously has issues with emotional self regulation. that's not promising for a long term stable relationship. tho having said that: nobody is perfect so some guys will still pick such a girl cause they know they have their own issues. the thing is: as a girl who cuts, you will attract men that do have more issues themself. so that's a downward spiral.

you should probably get in touch with a good therapist to learn to self regulate without self harm before you add more drama to your life.

If I really am into her, I would be willing to make it work. If it was a past issue, I would want to know more. Assuming she has improved, it wouldn't be anything more than a small concern. If she still has these tendencies, I would want to help her in anyway possible. I'd be happy to continue advancing the relationship if she improves.

Most emotionally healthy and mature guys won’t judge someone just because they have self-harm scars. They may feel concern, but true care is about understanding, not rejecting. If he genuinely likes her as a person her mind, her heart, her presence then scars won't change that.

I have dated a girl before who used to cut and it was never an issue. It's in the past, so it does not matter. If she is still doing it, then I think I would stay, but it depends on a few things.
