So I dated this girl who told me at the end we should just be friends, and I was like meh ok and didn't hear from her for a few weeks, then we started talking on the phone for hours at night time and made more arrangements to meet up and hang out in bars and restaurants, then one day she was with her girl mates hosting at her place drinking wine, after they had left she called me up at midnight, and wanted to know if I was talking to other girls, I told her I wasn't and I asked if she was talking to other guys which she also said she wasn't, she then asked if I wanted to come over right now and watch a film, I said sure but it'll take me a while to get ready and be there but ordered me an uber taxi, within 20 mins I was in her house meeting her dog, we watched the film but we pretty much talked over it, then she fell asleep on the sofa and I was stuck watching a show called Bridgerton, at first I was like wtf is this show, then it got juicy, and I was hooked watching 3 episodes, anyway she wakes up and doesn't want me to leave, so she offers to sofa to me to sleep on so she can sleep in her bed, I told her im happy walking back as it was really late, but she then insisted I sleep next to her in her bed, I told her I dont wear pj's maybe a t shirt but I didn't bring any spare clothes, she gave me one of her t shirts to wear and it was fricking tiny, she laughed cause I looked like I was wearing a crop top, I told her I dont sleep in under wear or any bottoms and she was cool with it, then when we got into bed we went straight to sleep, in the morning we had a long chat and she would stop her dog from getting in between us, she then made me cuppa and we drank in bed then I got dressed and left, and we haven't spoken for a few days, maybe she was just tipsy on whine and wanted attention, but id really like it to develop into something serious as we really get on and laugh lots, but yeah before you guys say you should've made a move, she set the friend rule b4

To me I think what's happening here is she didn't really friend zone you. I think she's interested but she wants to be damn sure you're worth her time so she's seeing how you'll act as a friend before she makes up her mind for sure. I think you have a chance of getting out of the friend zone with her if you play things cool and are patient. She said she wants to be friends so be her friend but make sure to keep an undertone of interest in her noticeable don't be overt with it or say anything but use your actions to show you're being her friend but still willing to be more if she re considers.

I think she's testing you and this is actually a test I approve of. You can learn a lot about a person's quality as a partner by seeing how they act with their friends. To me this sounds like she's interested and is vetting you or she's interested but for some reason she feels now is the wrong time. My advice, be a good friend, keep the undertone of interest there, show restraint, respect and discipline and she very well may come around although nothing is for sure.
