Why would a girl say “you are much better than you think you are”, last Thursday I went down from doing some hw at a common place in our campus, she and I made eye contact and just stared at eachother, at practices she would never stare at me like that or maybe she does but I never pay attention , told me I remind her of another girl that has the same name as I do, always excited to see me, she smiles when she sees me and always eager to say “hi”, does this all mean she just wants to be friends?

For the staring part she and I play on opposite sides but it was kinda funny how we just stared at eachother

Some things that make me think she wants to be more than friends:

- Staring into each other's eyes like that is pretty intense. Girls don't usually hold a stare if they're not feelin' a guy.

- Saying you remind her of another girl with your name? That's a weird compliment that just gives you an excuse to think about her. Sounds flirty.

- Always excited and smiling big to see you? That's not normal friend behavior. Chicks get all giddy around guys they crushing on.

- Telling you that you're better than you think? That's basically a nice way of calling you cute. She digs your confidence.

I wouldn't say she just wants to be friends from all these signs. Sounds like she tryna subtly let you know she's feeling you. You should ask for her number next time you see her smiling all happy. Trust me man, she wants you to make a move!

Tbh I do suspect she is lesbian, I’m not a lesbian it’s like to me if I find a girl pretty I stare at them but I never would do anything sexual to them like o would to boys. I would feel appreciate her telling me and I would give her space and hopefully once we would be friends again!

So you would lay down some ground rules and let her know you're not into that. Very good. I like a woman who makes it clear that she's straight. If she can't accept friendship then that's her problem.
