Where is this going? Why does he wanna get to know me?

met this guy about 9 months ago. We did not really talk until 6 months. We have gotten closer and shared a little about ourselves. Sometimes I think he has a girlfriend but, I am not sure. I have been distancing myself away from him. A couple weeks ago, he stated that we should have sit down and talk about what’s going to happen with our study group for the next couple weeks. I had already texted the plans I had for the next couple weeks prepared, so I did not see a point for us to sit down, he insisted. He asked when I was available I told that day after 7 or we can met an hour before the rest of the group showed up. He chose that day after 7 but at 8:30 pm and said I should pick the place. I said no you pick it and he chose the place he meets with his other group. He came to the meeting just to email and text me the plans he had while he was right in front of me and the meeting lasted probably 20 minutes and then he asks how long I was staying there and I said I was leaving. And the he starts asking about what I was studying and my future plans and he talked about how his sister did the same thing I was planning. And we walk to outside to his best friend, so I left them in the parking a lot. The week that followed was pretty much the same with me distant then one night we texted he said that he would love to hang out sometime. Then he went on vacation and he barely texted me, so I pulled away more. When got back I replied to a text he sent and then he went silent for a couple hours and replied at 12 am saying he was with a friend so I just pulled away more bc I was starting to feel like I was bothering him. I told him that one night, he said he doesn’t want to have causal convos through text. He wants to I have an intentional convo. I didn’t reply until days later saying it’s hard to have those bc people are always talking to us and he said he thinks we should go out and talk once a month or something to get to know each other. wearegettingcoffee
