This girl keeps shading me?

so it’s been a two months into college and i became friends with the three people i have math with. everything seems to going right except i notice this one girl always has something to say about me each other. it’s like sudden shade but she acts like it’s lighthearted. i’m trying to give her a benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe she’s just too comfortable with me already. but she hasn’t acted that way with the other two and like i said, this has happened every hangout. she also tends to act nice to me. whenever she says something shady, i defend myself. but i try not to sound too defensive because i don’t want to start problems too early. i’m not exactly sure what to do because if i distant myself from her, i’d have to distant myself from the new forming group we made because we all sit together in uni along with walking together after class. i also have no other friends as wll. i just transferred to this college and i haven’t had a healthy friend group in over 3 years. what should i do?

But if that's the case, don't buy into it, just agree with her, shake, your head, or what ever

Because if that's what she doing
Then she looking for communication so she can pull you in

And if that's what she's doing she's trying to find her confidence to prove to herself


That's why it's better just to let things go.. you know who you are that's all the matters

Because then your telling her how you feel. On what ever she just didn't

It's kinda like a bully would do because your reaction would tell her how frazzled you are. And what her next move would be

But if you act as if she not even in the room and her games and words don't bother you
Then her plan will backfire

Call her actions out and embarrass her. Talk respectfully but in a condescending way. "Sorry I know you are trying to joke right now but don't you think it's a little immature to say/do xyz and think it would be humorous?"

i’m genuinely scared to cause i don’t want the rest thinking i’m doing too much since they haven’t really caught on to her shading me. but if i see it continues, i’m DEFINITELY doing this 😭😭

I am a horrible one to ask about this. Now that I am out of college it is all too easy to say "just be yourself" and all that. While I was in college I was an insecure wreck and prolly drank way too much. 😳
