i think every guy who had a dusty time in their life can relate. if you'r single, you're single a fuck and it seems you've accidentally used girl repellent as deo. but as soon as you have a girlfriend, suddenly all the other girls keep popping up. why?

u 7 moPerhaps those guys are already taken because they are the more attractive guys.

But you see being attractive wouldn't explain that you have more girls interested suddenly the moment you are taken

What Girls & Guys Said

7 moThis is what I have understood what it could be from other girls, it is that this was a guy who they only thought was playing and all of a sudden he has matured by being serious, in a relationship with someone else. They think too that now he is a good guy, all the good guys are taken, that statement. Anorher because of it all is allowed in war and peace. Envious of the girl who has him and take it as a personal insult she got him instead. I realized too late I got the kind of guys who in their past had been unattainable, playing, and all of a sudden this girl I don't know wants to start a war against me because of his choices in the past, rejecting her, and then choosing differently. I think I just happened to come around at a time when he was ready, I don't think she or I was the winner or looser. It could just as easily have been her had the time been right, and I think they know this and it bugs them
05 Reply- 7 mo
In my experience it's always girls you didn't have anything to do with before. So they didn't get to see your maturing process you were talking about.
- 7 mo
Ah yes, I see, yeah there are those too, of course. There is a different, higher, set of status, I've noticed too, when a guy has a ring on his left finger.
- 7 mo
Mean it's not even at the point of the ring but then the question is: would these girls want that guy? Cause if they actually got him, that would mean they have a man that will leave a woman for a better option. Do women want that? XD
- 7 mo
From my exoeriences with these women (and I am not like them) it is an ego thing. They want to prove that they are hot enough to steal your man, they feel entitled. They may think they are so hot themselves that the guy won't ever leave them. To them it is this insult the guy is taken for. They are not considerate to anyone but their own needs. They don't care about rules, it is only their rules they care about. This is how I see them. They get recognized by the guys who I dated or been serious with as the kind they won't leave me over, but anyways I found these sort of situations immensely difficult to handle as they were trying with attitude, bullying to get to me. I never wanted to be part of their game. I always wished they didn't exist. I did not know how to deal with them. I did not know what to tell the guys because these women did things to me or tried to when he wasn't looking. From my experience they get more and more aggressive not because they are winning, but because they are loosing. I wish I understood that part before, but it took me 4 ever to get it. I bought into the idea they were winning this. I thought the guy had to push them back way more, forceful, earlier. There was just stuff I didn't get before. I had to talk to a male relative to explain to me that society will frown about a guy being as forceful in his rejection of a woman, but they won't do the same if a woman does it to a man. If a man raises his voice that way or physically move someone out their way they risk looking like some man enraged frightening the little woman, something women never have to think about.
I know I walked away from a guy specifically for that reason because I could not handle the situation and I suppose I did not have enough ego going for me to think he is dating me because he chose me. He could have chosen her but he did not and is not about too. I know in one case the guy got mad at me and wanted to still make it work, but I could not do it. - 7 mo
Sorry, need to correct an error. The last sentence the correct expression would be in this one case...(refferring to one and the same guy)
649 opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic. It has been validated by science. Girls rate photos of guys as being more attractive if the are given to think they are partnered and the same photos are rated as less attractive if the are given to think the guys are single.
It is called mate copying and is found in females of other species - not just human females.
Rationalized as social learning. If a guy vetted as OK by another female it is a stamp of approval to the single ladies as this is what you should go after.
I doubtful this evolutionary. In hunter & gatherer tribes females didn't get to pick their husbands.

Anonymous(18-24)6 moI think women are a bit like cats. The more desperate you are to pet the cat, the more she hates you and avoids you. If you'd rather not have anything to do with the cat, she'll find herself in your lap (because cats like autonomy). She mistakes the distance as you being respectful in general and not just to your partner.
A man choosing you when isn't supposed to is also hot.
Engaging in it, is of course immoral and disgusting.13 Reply- 6 mo
the difference is tho: if i sit around and do nothing and igonore them, cats will come. women won't xD only if i also have a girlfriend. like I don't know if i should think that these women who come once a man has a partner already are low quality women i should be happy to have doged.
Opinion Owner6 moBe happy to have dogded!
- 6 mo
lol guess so. thanks for that perspective xD
7 moI would assume because taken guys don't usually act desperate to get into your pants like single guys do..
Or it's the old they want to feel better than someone else by stealing their man to feel hotter or superior..
Besides that I don't know.. because I never seen a guy be more attractive because he had a girlfriend. I personally don't like the fact other woman have touched a guy I want before me, since I'm a little possessive.05 Reply- 7 mo
They don't act desperate but they typically also do not signal interest either right?
- 7 mo
Depends on the guy lol Some act real sweet to woman when they have girlfriend's, others don't..
So it could be the "challenge" some girls like as well or it could be that he treats her better than other guys do lol - 7 mo
Ahh that makes sense. That girls who are used to abusive relationships get all jealous when some girl actually finds a sweet boyfriend xD
- 7 mo
True.. Also I was just thinking, the chick who is with my ex (who I am still married to) she is a gold digger. The chick who stole my dad also was a gold digger so maybe taken guys are just more successful than when they were single lol.
- 7 mo
Gold diggers sure are a thing but the phenomenon I mean also happens to broke guys xD
I think people want what they can’t have. I’ve had more men try to pursue me either when I’m in a relationship or freshly out of one then at any other point in my life. It’s annoying to be honest

6 moLol, I don't know why. I think maybe it's because when a guy has a girlfriend, he has proven that someone else approves of him. It's a quality check. Maybe it's biology and some subconscious signal like that. I don't know, lol. What do you think?
01 Reply- 6 mo
well that may be a thing but if it was a thing, then the next logical thing should be: if this guy leaves his now girlfriend to be with me, then he'll probably leave me for the next better girl. so i think that logic doesn't make sense. or at least it's incoherent.
No it’s not that. It’s just that women stay away from single men they aren’t super interested in because they know he will get the wrong impression. For married men you can have fun and treat them normal bc there’s no threat of it getting weird. That’s all. I think men really misunderstand this one because you more often mistake any attention as sexual.
03 Reply- 6 mo
what's the "wrong impression" you're talking about?
- 6 mo
well that's the point tho. they are obviously making advances. not just simple flirting. if it was "just talking", i wouldn't complain xD
7 moNot a girl but I feel like that's a sweeping generalization. I feel like "Girls who like guys who are taken why do you prefer taken guys over single guys?" would have been a better way the phrase it.
That being said to answer your question: I'm not sure? I've seen answers like "it's proof that they're a good partner" but like if they left their girlfriend for you isn't that also proof that they're not loyal?
01 Reply- 7 mo
It's not a generalization. Just anecdotal experience so there's some truth to it but I guess I'm asking what truth. And the question you asked in the end is exactly what makes it no sense in my mind as well
Anonymous(18-24)6 moThe only taken guys I've been with are married guys who aren't getting sex from their wives. The story's always the same, everything was great, then the sex just stopped but I don't want to leave my wife.

7 moThey want guys they can't have. I think they like the thrill of the chance but are kinda like cats, once they catch their prey, they are no longer interested.

ok but wouldn't the logic be: if the guy leaves his current girl for me, he will leave me for the next best girl?

7 moI don't think they are!
06 Reply- 7 mo
hmm you think that may be you specifically or do you think women generally think so?
- 7 mo
Attractive is attractive whether he is single or attached, it's just that your more likely to get that single handsome guy in your pants easier than the attached guy.
- 7 mo
then why is it that girls don't seem to care for men to get in their pants while they're single and when they're attached, suddenly they can't wait to tear him apart from his mate? xD
- 7 mo
like what you're saying is 100% logical to me but that's the opposite of what they do in the real world :D
- 7 mo
Maybe in your world, but it's nothing I've seen much of in my lifetime.
- 7 mo
Yeah I don't see men do that XD it are you into women?
Pre-selection.
04 Reply- 7 mo
what are they "pre selecting" tho? a guy who shows them by practical example that they'll leave a girl for the next better one? like is that what they actually want? a betrayer? that's the part i don't get.
- 7 mo
absolutely. but he's also showing he's capable of leaving his current girlfriend immediately when a nice option rolls around. i'm not sure that's what girls want.
- 7 mo
i mean if he actually left the current girlfriend to get with the other gir.
