so me and my friend we have been friends for a huge while now and we have always been touchy with eachother like holding hands and hugging

but recently she's been more touchier like she grabs my face and squeezes my face and says im cute, she brings my face closer to hers and looks like she wants to kiss me, and she plays with my hair, and is more cuddly

Does this mean she is just being friendly or is she starting to like me?

Honestly I don’t think this is the best route of curiosity to explore unless you are catching feelings and plan to act on those feelings. I say this because all we can do here is speculate, and depending on what someone says (for example, reinforcing your suspicions by saying she has a crush), it’ll only deepen your curiosity and start you down this road of interpreting all of her touchiness and actions as flirtatious/romantically interested. You’ll inevitably get to a point where the behavior feels so intense, you’d have no choice but to address it, and is that really the door you’d wanna open? Think about that first and foremost.

In that case, you should definitely have a chat with her. Whether she likes you or not would be hard to define as an outsider, mainly because you say you two have always been touchy. If you do feel like things have intensified then it’s worth talking about because realistically once you start switching lanes from generic touching to more intensified interactions, it becomes damn near impossible to shift back into “what was”. Your feelings are most likely not going to lessen or go away unless you knew for sure she doesn’t like you back.
