Myth? It's scientific fact that at 35 you woman have less than a quarter of their eggs left and their odds of getting pregnant each cycle drops to 15 to 20%. At 40 they have 10% of their eggs left and the odds of serious birth defects and down syndrome increase to 50%

Yeah, it’s not “a quarter” it’s half of the eggs. That’s why it only drops by a max of 20%, which is obviously too varying a statistic to nail down, the chances of birth defects increasing is indeed by 50%, but that’s like… a.5% chance to a 1% chance. You can have babies all the way up to menopause successfully, without complications, birth defects, or disabilities.
