When I was a kid, I stole one of those erasers that you put at the tip of a pencil from the corner store. My heart was beating like crazy because I knew I did something that was inappropriate.

By some mysterious coincidence, my father got wind of it and made me write an apology letter to the owner of the store. He came with me and while he waited in front of the store, I was obliged to go into the store and deliver the apology letter to the owner while waiting for his reaction.

I could have died of shame and once the shop owner read my apology letter, he had a tear in his eye but gave me a sermon about my dishonest behavior. Nevertheless, he told me I could keep the eraser...

That was my most shameful behavior and something I am not proud of.

It's part of my past I am not proud of but the thing is now forgotten. I think a lot of kids or even teenagers have taken smaller things without paying for it. It is definitely the worst thing I have ever done in my life.

This gave me a little laugh Sue lol, just because it feels like such a “rebellious” kid thing to do😂. I remember being like 10 and swiping a handful of mini tootsie rolls from the ice cream truck window one summer. My younger cousin spilled the beans the next morning at breakfast. When my mom found out she went with me back to the Ice cream truck to pay for the candy and apologize. I felt so freaking embarrassed I didn’t go back for the rest of the summer😂. The things we do as kids!

@HollyK21 I totally know how you must have felt. It is actually part of growing up and to test how far one can go. It is fine in your mind as long as you don't get caught. It becomes the end of the world when you are put in front of the fact and have to take accountability for it.

Other than pets dying I would say the 2 years of disaster I spent at college but it also turned out to be such a valuable life lesson, so... 🤷‍♀️

Oh, and hitting a deer with my Jeep. That was traumatic and horrible and I don't want to think about it which is why I wasn't gonna' answer this question but then u invited me.

Oh, and then there was another incident with Church people that was pretty bad. See? I didn't want to start thinking about all this stuff. Now I'm depressed. 😳

I was in this crowded subway, and the man in front of me had touched me inappropriately. I was so scared that I couldn't say a thing when I looked at him, and this man had the audacity to look straight in my eyes with a smug look on his face...
