Do many women cheat because they chase fantasy instead of real love?

I agree with this to a certain extent , considering I had my fair share of cheating girls’ that pursued me behind their partners’ backs. Which made me realize a lot of female are drawn to the fantasy of things, over the reality of things. She will stay with a guy that is good to her to make it seem like everything is fine and dandy , but behind closed doors it isn’t especially, if her fantasy isn’t being fulfilled completely by her partner , so she will continue her fantasy elsewhere. She will string her partner along until she finds the next best option to fulfill her fantasy that she has made up in her head. Why girls’ hold on to their exes way more than guys’ tend to do , she will hold on to the good memories of him over the bad memories of him and act like all the bad never happened. These are the kind of girls’ that will never experience true love , they only love themselves and what they feel is best for themselves , why so many guys’ today do not want to get married or settle down with a girl that is more than likely trying to fulfill her fantasy instead of reality. What’s your thoughts on this?

I believe that a woman who truly respects herself will also respect the choices she makes, especially when it comes to choosing a partner. When she commits to someone, that decision reflects her own values, standards, and sense of self-worth. In my opinion, a relationship is not just about another person, it is also about honoring your own word and the boundaries you set for yourself. think self-respect means being consistent with your values, even when it’s difficult. If someone chooses exclusivity, then staying faithful is part of respecting that decision. Breaking that trust can damage not only the relationship but also a person’s inner sense of integrity. If someone no longer wants to be in a relationship, the honest option is to end it. Staying in something while secretly stepping outside of it through cheating only creates unnecessary pain and confusion for everyone involved.

I think there are many many reasons people cheat that apply to both men and women. I don't agree with cheating. Being in a relationship is a choice and if not happy you dont have to stay. But yes some people may want a fantasy life outside of what they have. Maybe they get off on the thrill, the feeling desired, the secrecy so it don't matter to them that their partner is decent. Others may love parts of their life (security, family, comfort) but need more and are afraid of leaving so they rather have both. Others may in deed be looking for escape from a bad relationship and hoping someone else will rescue them.

Unfortunately it's unlikely that anyone will ever tell you up front that they cheated in any of their relationships so it's not something you can really screen for as a toxic characteristic. But avoid if someone you are attracted to does haveca partner you know about.

Girls cheat for many reasons sometimes the relationship is going very well but she has urges just like men do…. People start getting curious and yes absolutely people have fantasies. People want to live the best of both worlds and can even compartmentalize at least for a time.

Loyal people don’t cheat they either leave or make an effort to improve a relationship. Men do this too to an extent. There are men who cheat on amazing women with low value whores. It’s how some people are.

Back in the 50's and 60's it was usually the husband who was the cheater.

I think that women learned well from the men and they are just doing what men have always done.

It's probably for the same reasons why men cheat.

That’s a reason as well , but I know plenty of good guys’ that got cheated on by their partner , just because she felt like she was missing out on things , her fantasy wasn’t being fulfilled anymore at home , so she opens her legs to someone else that she feels can fulfill her fantasy. Why I will only date a girl that prioritizes me the same way she wants me to prioritize her , that is honest and respectful and not selfish , Selfish girls’ are meant for the streets not under your sheets. They will run to someone else immediately when things aren’t going their way , thinking that other man is going to save her not realizing she is the problem not her partner. The same thing she is doing to her partner is the same thing she will do to the new guy as well, because she can’t admit that she is the problem , most girls’ do not know how to take accountability for her actions , it’s always someone else’s fault. Usually her partner , so if you are with a girl that is constantly pointing fingers at you instead of herself first, do yourself a favor and kick her to the curb where she belongs , because she doesn’t love you , she just likes what she can receive from you, until the next best option comes her way. I been on both sides of the spectrum with girls’ and most of them act the same way. Whether she was cheating on her partner for me , or cheating on me for another guy , they can’t take accountability for their actions and behaviors, cuz they assume they are always right.

I found out plenty of times , I been on both sides of the spectrum , I hate talking about myself but I have always been considered a nice guy , a guy that wears his heart on his sleeve and that’s one of the main reasons I had girls’ drawn to me , but unfortunately not all of them were honest. And unfortunately that’s the chance we take when we meet someone new. I have been with girls’ that love bombed me , telling me everything I wanted to hear just so she could be closer to me , I also heard girls’ tell me I am the first nice guy that she has ever been with and they still backstabbed me or betrayed me , so for my own safety I started putting some Walls up to protect my heart from being taken for granted ever again. In a sense I taught myself to see through bullshit which in a way made me the bad boy type , which of course girls’ like as well. But all I really want is to be loved and treated with respect by a girl that stands by me like I stand by her , but unfortunately there are a lot of selfish people in this world that constantly think grass is greener on the other side , instead of just watering the grass they are already standing on. I devoted my love and my heart to my ex wife , I put up with a lot of her negativity because I believe in love and marriage and understand nothing or no one is perfect. I thought her and I were going to make it until the end , until she decided to be selfish and ruin our marriage and family because she is a selfish POS human being that doesn’t take accountability for her actions or behavior, it’s like she woke up one day and decided to be a complete bitch to me for no reason at all. Thinking to herself that she deserves better than what she already had. So as much as my heart was broken , I knew I couldn’t force her to stand by my side and realized she no longer loved me like I loved her. So now I am 48 years old and back on the dating market and things are completely different then how it was 20 some years ago.
