Am I wrong to ask my girlfriend to block her ex and how do I confront her?

A guy my girlfriend has been with sent her a message on Instagram and I kindly asked her to just block him and she got defensive
Then this turns into an argument and she finally blocked him
But then I noticed 1-2 weeks later she had unblocked him and followed again
Am I in the wrong to ask her to do this?
And how do I confront her about knowing she has been talking to him?

She cheated asked her to show me the messages which should be fine if there is nothing happening but no they were exactly what I feared them to be

Not everyone shares your philosophy on ex's. If she lies to you about it, that's one thing, but not everyone feels the need to pretend their ex doesn't exist anymore. But asking questions usually leads to a more civil conversation than just accusing. Presumably she told you she got a message from him (or you did some actual spying through her inbox...) so she doesn't seem like she is trying to hide anything, but you don't automatically get what you want when the two of your disagree, so if you already know, ask and see if she is telling the truth, then proceed to a civil discussion about it and why she wants to follow/talk/whatever with him. If she starts lying to you, then that's a bigger deal than who follows who and blah blah blah but two ex's talking doesn't automatically mean she's doing anything wrong

Normal secure people remain civil with their exes, even friends. It is ones that can't do it that are the real problem.

People should not be in communication with exes, unless they have kids together. She's disrespecting you and your relationship. I'd consider terminating the relationship if she doesn't block him permanently.

If she lied to you by saying she did block him but didn't or followed him again, is a problem. I know our resident simp will say you are "insecure" but you did voice your feelings and she lied. Talk to her.
