That's a perfectly innocuous compliment. Compliment things that are a choice for her -- nails, clothing, hair style. Do not compliment her physical attributes.

I won't give my opinion about a woman's nails unless she ask me about it, if i see it beautiful than i'd say that they are and if not than i'll tell that they are ugly, just an honest opinion!
