Complimenting a girls nails?

The other day I was at the mall buying some jeans at Buckle and the girl at the cash register was way cute! So cute I panicked when I couldn't think of anything to say after I paid for the jeans, I noticed she had cool looking blue sparkly finger nail polish on so I was like "awesome nails" she smiled and said thanks ...Was that totally a weird thing to say to a girl coming from a guy?

I've gotten that compliment before. I do my nails with different designs for holidays and special occasions and stuff, so its a normal compliment in my opinion. If I got it on normal nail polish I'd know you were flirting and probably find it cute lol

Yes, I would find it weird. But I would find it cute, because you were rushing to find a compliment. Not a great one, but you found one. So, it evens it out.

Not really... she would've got them done obviously for people to notice them... and you obviously noticed... haha... a compliment is a compliment... and a move is a move... at least you made one :)

Some girls spend a lot of time doing their actual nails (not the fake ones) so compliments are nice. I have blue polish on mine too :D
