This is kinda what I'm thinking: why would you want to be with someone who's afraid of being seen like that? It's insulting because it makes me feel like you not only think I see you as an object but you're OK with that.

No, it's a very normal reaction to me in the early stages of a relationship.

Then there are personalities more or less at peace with self-image control, regardless of the relationship they're in, it's a psychological thing, between them and themselves. And there's beauty culture, which should strike women more than men. Plus some reactions are conditioned by the internet of pictures, which pressures to look good 24/7.

Nah, I don’t think it’s suspicious for a woman to feel insecure or uncomfortable being on FaceTime, livestream, pictures, whatever when she’s not looking presentable. There are men who share that same mentality, for example my fiancé is not a fan of sending pics throughout the day, it’s never been our thing. If ever he’s sent a pic, it’s weird angles, awkward faces and I can’t imagine mine have been much better. Yet we see each other every day in all sorts of forms, lazy outfits, bad hair, etc etc.
