No. I was basically earning less than a guy flipping burgers in McDonald's at the time. Women love soldiers. At 16 in basic training I was dating a 20 year old blonde off base, a girl from my old high school who was a year younger and an accountants trophy wife. In addition a solider is also bring status so essentially you just outlined that a man needs to bring a ton of value including willingness to die for his country just to have multiple women.

A soldiers pay is fixed regardless of how many hours they work and could be deployed anywhere in the world for any length of time.
Pension varies depending on time served, Im due about £10-12,000 a year but won't get it until 65 possibly 70 if they raise the age of retirement. Not sure how it will work out with the IRS though.

What soldiers are is exciting, dangerous, fit, elusive. Girls would come to us. I remember being in London with some of my guys from the section on a Friday night after being at Buckingham Palace for a tattoo. We were stealing girls from stockbrokers buying up the bar, champagne everywhere. Of course when fights broke out and we hammered them the bouncers being ex army joined in. Only guys I seen take women from us were pro footballers or soccer players as you Americans call them.

Women are definitely attracted to soldiers, although we net quite a few US soldiers on deployment from the national guard that were seriously overweight to be soldiers.
